Skin Magic, AKA Staph Away Salve Recipe PDF and PNG Downloadable Files MEMBER VERSION
Skin Magic, AKA “Staph Away” salve, has been a mainstay in my medicine cabinet for many years. I first concocted it when dealing with staph on the udder of one of my does. I now use it for virtually every skin condition my animals have presented with, including mites, bites, mange, ear mites, rough patches and even eczema on a human child.
Formulated using Tisserand’s maximum dermal safety specifications for each essential oil, it falls well below the maximum dermal dilution rate of 0.5% for clove bud oil. You could substitute clove leaf for a max. rate of 0.6% if you wanted even more safety margin, or eliminate clove altogether if you’re intending to use this on very young or very sensitive skin. The main ingredients are sulfur powder and coconut oil; everything else can be omitted if desired.
You will need:
- yellow sulfur powder (I use organic yellow sulfur powder found on Amazon)
- coconut oil
- myrrh gum resin powder
- clove bud or leaf essential oil
- lavender essential oil
