When no other bottle feeding nipple has worked, try this one. We’ve used it with 100% success on nursing kids of all ages, even those who have not been handled and are older. Cut a large X, large enough for milk to dribble out on its own but not flood a goat. Larger for older kids. Use a glass soda or beer bottle. Cover eyes, insert nipple, 100% success. Adding live yogurt cultures to bottles helps reduce bloat in bottle fed kids.
“Lambs affected by bloat can also be treated with 40-60ml of acidophilus yoghurt, administered through either a drench gun or stomach tube, three times a day.”
